URL Shortener?

I was thinking about making a URL shortener site, and i'd like to see if people think it is a good idea. What do you think about the idea?

I made one, www.dusturl.com Works good but tinyurl rules all unless you got xxxx for an advertising campaign.

yeah people love anythign these day (in the free domain area) i was gogin to do one aswell actually i think i might od it again now, anyway do you know how you can create your own extensions? like www.yourdomain.rman

You cant do that, thats ICANNS department, latest domain extention under criticism from bush, .xxx, if you have a lot of $XXXX to spend Random, you may be able to get your own ext

my budgets in teh ?xx range(for my entire web field) no so domain for me,well no extension anyway, i should be getting a domain in the next week or so

i'm going to be making a URL redirect site soon as i got the the domain p2g.org which is very short so good for a short url service

Buy a short domain and give free subdomains like uni.cc or cbj.net
