Anyway, has your website ever won any awards? whats the most prestige award available, Just talk about website awards.

i have won: NONE!!!

Fairly weird thread; but ive only really had proper live sites for about 2 months... Ive won none, and havnt really seen any running apart from forum hosting communitys.

when i used to browse sites a hella lot more then i do now, i used to see sites with like little trophy images saying

www.awards.com (ExaMPLE) BEST SITE 2003 ETC ETC just wondering if any has had any

Yep, I've won a few.

1999? Best Completed Project award ? Rotherham Vacant property guide
2001 - Winner of the Town Centre Regeneration award
2001 ? National finalist in HSBC Start-Up Stars

If you're thinking about a web golden award or all that other stuff, don;t bother applying. It's just an excuse for driving traffic away from your site!

I havn't seen many, I think that cnet has one. Why doesn't webmastertalk start one? It's not hard and bosts the SEO of both websites as well as rewards good designs.

In addition if you offered WMTs to the winner we might get more posters.
