Cymbolism - Designing color scheme around theme

The idea of the concept is finding out what colour people associate with certain feelings. For example, if you are designing a romance website, and the primary theme is love, then the primary colour may be red.

ok thats quite an interesting little project .. I have to admit though I'm stumped this mornin when trying to associate colours with things ...

yeah, it seems an interesting project alright... unusual but abstract.

Would have been more interesting if they'd taken it a step further and asked general profession area ...

Would a graphics person associate things more having done courses in colour theory ...

Would a linux head be very different to someone working in a flower shop .. and so on

I think it's aimed towards "the average joe" to get a basic idea of matching colour schemes. Most of the average Joes are fly-by voters.

The only way it would work for them to do that is to a survey style quiz which a lot of people wouldn't bother with but the results would be certainly more interesting/specific.

most voters would just drop by ... but a simple selection from 10 - 20 groups would have made it a lot better..

Actually getting ideas for a similar project ... only ... why ... just have to justify that to myself now

RoR sounds great to everyone ... usually because they haven't used a framework beforehand.
