| Ban Sticks Set to Stun!! Recent Blog: Geansai Gorm | When developing I work with Firefox .. and I fix for IE afterwards These days I like to think I'm aware of most of the browser bugs that will affect my sites so ... fixing it up for IE doesn't take that long. I guess though really I stick to IE5.5 up ... Firefox ... and safari ...

| Ban Sticks Set to Stun!! Recent Blog: Geansai Gorm | I believe the rendering core for chrome should be quite similar to Safari ... though that said I've noticed a few odd things with it.

| Web Slave Recent Blog: More Dead Trees Courtesy of Grandad | So how do you do the testing? Do you actually have copies of all the various browsers you want to test against on your machines or do you use a testing service? |

I do however have a VM installed with XP and that has a multi ie install on it which is great for testing ... Mac takes care of Firefox ... and Safari ... the XP vm takes care of FF 2 ... and IE After that I probably ask browsershots to do a quick check for me against the main browsers. Do I check against konquorer and so on ... no ... why ... target audience won't be using them. If the project was worth a LOT more then I probably would. but for 1 user in 10000 .... or so using an obscure browser I can take the hit.

| Newbie | I have IE7, Firefox 3, Safari and Chrome on my laptop and IE6 and Firefox 2 on my desktop. I also use browsershots org which allows you to check how your site looks on over 50 different browsers. Do you know if there is a firefox plugin that lets you simulate different browsers? |

| Web Slave Recent Blog: More Dead Trees Courtesy of Grandad | I know you can change the UserAgent quite easily, though I haven't heard of anything for simulating other browsers (though it could easily exist!) |

Hey Jennifer ... Install multiple versions of IE on your PC | TredoSoft might interest you ... it allows you to run standalone IE versions on your machine. It won't work with Vista however. To the best of my knowledge you can use this to render pages in firefox mozdev.org - ietab: index using the IE engine ... don't think it lets you switch versions of IE.
