Default CSS, IE and height:100% issues

Hello,

This is my first posting here. Usually I'd be stubborn enough to say that I can get round any problem I come across with enough time but I've come to learn recently that time is precious, I'm not always capable and that its far better to be part of a community then shut off.

I've had a major problem with coding a site. I've used Joomla as a CMS and that I've had no problems with, but the template I customed has one major fault. 2planets.co.uk is the site I am working on that went live on Monday and I've had to launch it with an massive IE bug which has really stressed me out. I've used a template that uses a table to with three columns. The left hand and right hand ones contains a fixed background texture and a div tag with the shadow bordering. These are set to height:100% and stretch all the way to the bottom of the page in firefox, but IE only stretches to 100% of the view port so when you scroll it look aweful as you'll be able to see. I've look at other methods such as having a 5 column table as the template but they've just resulted in more issues.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Is there a work around to get IE to see 100% as the page hieght and not the viewport?

All your input would be massively appreciated and I hope I can put as much into this community as I get out. Although a "quick fix" would be ideal I'm open to the fact I may have to redo the template from scratch.

Thanks,

Leonard
