| Super Moderator | Anyone installed Joomla yet ? It seems to install well, it's not yet made it into Fantastico, so I guess it'll be a while before the less-able webmaster starts to use it. Anyone upgraded a Mambo site ? I'm tempted, but I think I'll wait a while and see what everyone else makes of the upgrade scripts

| Super Moderator | Joomla is the next incarnation of Mambo, the core Mambo development team left and built their own product based on Mambo. Visit www.joomla.org to find out more. Basically, it's the next point release of Mambo (at the moment, but will change in time)

| Super Moderator | No major differences yet, there's a few bug fixes, but further releases will start to show the differences as the development teams go their own way. There's suggestion of new template engine in Joomla, so that should make some noticable changes. Joomla seems to be the way to go though as the Mambo team don't seem to have published a roadmap as yet, but Joomla have already issued their 1st release (and a bug fix for it !) There are scripts for conversion of your mambo site on the Joomla forums, so I'm going to give it a bash when I get a bit of spare time. I'm currently crafting my 1st Joomla template, I'll publish the link to the site when it's done (don't hold your breath though !)
