Default www.itscoldoutside.com are they scamming me?

Dear forum

I think im being ripped of by www.itscoldoutside.com

paid ?700 upfront
pay ?100 per month maintenance

They guarantee 10 keywords on first page and will maintain there positions. So far out of 5 months i have had 2 weeks work. Is this a scam? This has been going on to long. Should I charge back my visa card or will they slaughter me in court. They keep you waiting and waiting with no results.

I would like to take action with this company should I contact citizens advice? or can you recommend another source maybe an internet fraud community.

Can you advise on this very concerning issue

paul

No-one can guarantee you search engine placement (well not in engines they don't own). Be very suspicious of anyone offering a guarantee for SEO results.

You have 2 options with SEO, the first simply involves getting good content and taking time to get this recognised by the search engines and other sites providing good quality inbound links. The 2nd option is to use the current flavour of the month techniques which have not been filtered out by the algorithms that process the data captured by the spiders. These techniques usually require routine changes to your site content in order to avoid being caught by the filtering.

However, I'd double check any legal agreements you have before considering a chargeback, the small print probably has suitable disclaimers.

Hi there,
I have also being scammed by these people. Lots of promises (they can create up to 500 back links for my site, get the site a nice position in the search engines) and no results, only endless problems and complaints from my side that resulted on them offering solutions for yes, more money.
I have finally threaten them with legal action and they have backed off.

The original advise still remains valid.

There's no quick fix or guaranteed placement in the SEO world, however, there are lots of offers for it.

I know it?s a bit late in the day but before I part with any money I always ask 2 simple questions
1, Have you got any clients I can contact to ask about your work. Always make sure you get three or more.
2, Do the job and I will pay for the results.

If there any good they usually provide the first. But this could be a con too, so I always look at whois as well just to make sure the domains are not registered to the same person.
