Cool How Much Should I Charge?

Hallo all,

I've recently been approched by an ebay seller looking for a re-design of his site(s) and am wondering how much he should be paying me for the work.

Over the summer i will need to do this for 3 sites:

Full ecommerce with backend admin etc. (Custom Written)
Full SEO'ing

Basically everything you would need to make and advertise a site to sell products from and maintaining it as well.

At first i was thinking, high ?xx but i dont know, i expect it will take me about 2 weeks as this guy is very perfectionate and im learning as im going for all 3 sites which are going to need slightly different needs.

Also, the payment will be in ??? or an item he sells that i want (Very active ebay seller of all kinds). Should i take payment first? Or after job is done? He seems kosher and ive got his address etc. But i would ideally want money first but i dont know what freelancers normally do.

I would be looking low/mid XXXX personaly for the work your putting in.

I use a 25% deposit 60% on showing a working copy and 15% on finish

Well, he asked for something unique and custom coded. I know how to do it roughly, just need a bit more MySQL learning here and there.

I'll probably get him to pay 33% upfront, 50% on working work and rest on finish.

But maintaining it could mean regular ?XX for like 30 mins work a day so i could be in there

Hmm. Your going to make your own custom payment cart? Why not just modify a current one? Do you know all the security involved etc? Your improving in your coding. It sucks not being able to do any code for the next week. Stupid colorado.
