| Moderator |  Need ideas to get to top of google As you know my site is new, and i need to somehow get google to search my site again, the old cache of the page was back when it was in flash, and i need to know the top 10 tips for SEO, google is by far the biggest and best search engine, when i type "robertall" in MSN.co.uk, i am 9th, and it is up to date as well, i am still doubting that google is as good as it is supposed to be, and it is over-rated...

| Moderator | I want to build www.robertall.com and i want it to be at the top for "teen chat", it is currently not even in the first 14 pages (although an odd thing is at the top of page 14 is a freewebs site..) I am on page 21 one, and no sign of my site, any ideas?

In other words study your competiton. You need to first build the website then go after the position. It sounds like you are looking to get the position before you build the website. It also looks like many of the websites placing high for teen chat also offer some kind of adult (Over 18) chat. This could tweek their "Popularity factor" which is considered for top placement. | Senior Member | The words in the Domain name help a lot. I have been working on placing #1 on Google for Missing Money. It's kinda hard to beat http://www.missingmoney.com/ especially since my url doesn't have those words in it at all. I guess I'll have to be content with #2 for a while. I do place number #1 on Google for Free Lottery Tickets with a website that is on a Free host with virtually no links linking to it. The URL however is http://freetickets.pitas.com/ which has both the words free and tickets in it which shows the weight Google places on the words appearing in the url. Enough to overcome these other two week spots. I'm a little puzzled as to how http://www.robertall.com/ is a good choice for a Domain name. I understand that it's a user name that you have used consistantly on a variety of forums and elsewhere. The question I have about it is that outside of people that already know you I would quess that the odds that someone looking for a forum for teen chat would use the word "robertall" to search are pretty slim.
