Here are a few resources that you may find useful for your seo.

1) directorymaximiser.com good submission service to many dirs, manual of course.
2) acorndomains.co.uk a great UK domain forum
3) domaindshboard.com i like using this to manage my sites
4) spyfu.com nice to use the free version to get a look at competition.
5) providingcontent.com ive used this for content, the USA writers are really good here.
6) text-link-ads.com if you buy the odd add there that is relevant and has not been oversubscribed, this can be a good thing.
7) dmoz,joeant,business.com,yahoo directory,botw.com,lii.org are just a few of the leading directories i would recommend.
8) digg.com and del.ic.ious.com are a couple of leading social bookmarking sites.
9) wordpress.com is the leader for blogging.
10) caught.co.uk is a great no risk service for ctching UK expired domains.
