Can someone explain what to do next...

I am 11th for teenchat on msn.co.uk.

What is the next step that i do so i can improve it more, i have just released this and i am rather shocked that my teen site is getting hits. i have already had 4 hits from MSN using this keyword this month alone, that 1 hit every 2 days.

Any suggestions?

you need to get links from similar sites with high PRs to get your PR higher and this will also get a higher search engine ranking, also you could get a higher keyword density and this will imporve search engine rankings.

11th isn't bad, although I'm currently 3rd for one of my sites and I've not done anything more than a few simple lines of text as I'm still working on the Joomla template for it

Links & content are the key, don't be too tempted with flash & graphics, you need to be readable with a text browser as that's all the spiders will see.

The front page is 70KB something, so i am ok for front page content, but when it indexs deeper it is not really that much, but i am trying. I am just too busy. Thanks for the advise

I noticed your results are now #1. What CMS are you using for your site? I'm not too familiar with the different ones.

it's still number 11 but first on the second pare, he's used DragonFly CMS i think

I am using dragonflycms and the URLs are created my the Mod_rewrite function. Turn on LEO and it should be the same as what my links are. Also, i am now 8th, i think, and i have a question, i have had 106 hits from search engines this month, compared to 3 last month, does this increase the value of the site and domain?

Moving the right way, however for the site / domain to be worth something, then you need to be getting lots of hits from search engines so you're bringing in the visitors. 100 hits is virtually nothing, do you get much in the way of repeat visitors ? Loyal visitors may well increase the value.

Anyone who's going to buy it for big money will expect the site to be generating a decent turnover (PPC revenue, site banner ads etc...). Anyone interetested in developing a site with a current low income will not really be looking to pay much

In that case i need some ads up and i need to start making some money. Maybe i will place ads on the top for $10 a month or something. Any suggestions? (Also, i am not planning to sell yet, i just need some ideas.)

perhaps also target a few other search phrases to get the interest going.

Basically to sell, then you need it a good site that you'd probably visit and want to be involved with, so when you're really happy with it and getting good revenue / numbers of visitors, then that would be the time to sell (or keep it and enjoy whatever you think is the best option at the time)

$10/month might be a bit unrealistic at the moment for ads until your visitor count increases, however, worth giving it a try and see if anyone bites
