Default Where do I start?!

Dear All
Complete novice.... have created website and think my search words are okay (http://www.miss2mrs.org.uk)... but how do I get my site exposed? I've read through loads of stuff - 90% of which is making no sense at all! I just want to get on the first page of results... can this be done?

Many thanks for any advice you can offer.

Katie

1st page of results would require quite some work, perhaps you should engage an SEO consultant ? Have a look at wistow.net, he's the admin here and has a web consultancy.

Alternatively, then it's hard graft and patience and a lot or reading of SEO sites.

Hello Katie

SEO is a bit of a mine field, I'm afraid. However, there are honestly good people out there who do a good job for a fair price. Avoid those who promise to get certain keywords in the top results - they'll just do pay per click campaigns themselves and the only keywords you'll get in a good spot is your company name. Also avoid people who try to trick search engines - don't agree to 'hidden page' services as they could get you banned. I'd certainly try Wistow.net. I've had some dealings with him and I advertise on this site. He seems like a good guy. Good luck and all the best.

Here is a bit of advise i can give you for SEO.
1. REplace your e-mail with an image because a spam bot will find it, and you will get spammed.
2. Check all spelling and in the title, put a capitol for every important word.( i.e Welcome to My Hangout)
3. Check spelling
4. Add some forums and try and make it more and more active.
5. Try to get a .com or a .co.uk domain, other domains are worth nothing in many peoples opinion. If you have a low budget site, then i would recommend www.dnsau.com.ru and then get a free .com.ru, .net.ru or .org.ru. .org.uk is a ok-ish domain, but it is not practical.

Check the SEO in the articals section of this site, it will really help you.
