Hi,
I am the owner of "A UK Based Information Technology Jobs Board" (If you know your onions you will find the domain, I do not mention it here because I dont want this thread indexed by the SE's with my domain name in it). Currently the site receives around 30,000 visitors per month following on from my own basic optimisation and marketing. The site is ranked okay for the keyword I initially optimised the site for it jobs the problem is that, google for instance does not recognise the word it unless you place it in quotation marks. Current rankings are as follows:
www.yahoo.co.uk it jobs 1ST PLACE! out of 352 million results
www.yahoo.com it jobs 8th place.
www.google.co.uk "it jobs" 4th out of 4 million
www.google.com "it jobs" 6th out of 4 million
Google PageRank fluctuates between 5 and 6
www.altavisata.co.uk 1st place
The 2 things the business requires are, firstly sales of our subscription service to recruiters (recruitment agencies/employers). We offer 2 plans for recruiters a Monthly Unlimited Plan and an Annual Unlimited Plan we would be willing to pay commission for these sales. The second thing required and essential is increased UK IT Job Seekers visiting the site, job seekers are not charged for using the service, so the only way I can realistically pay for this is via an increased commission to yourselves for delivering increased UK IT job seeker visitor numbers with the commission based on sales of our 2 plans to recruiters. Suggested commissions would be ?50 for sale of each Monthly Plan, or ?100 for sale of each Annual Plan. There are thousands of recruitment companies and employers to target our service to, so commission could be substantial. But the SEO/Promotion would need to be done to complement this.
If you do not want to work on a commission basis I would consider other alternatives, although as I said budget is the main problem at the moment.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions.
Kind Regards.
Mike.
