Need Help in PHP

I have purchased some php scripts from out source.

I don't know how to edit them.. ( I'm totally new)

I know some html.
To edit a html file we can use Front page.
To view a html file we can use explorer.

But how to open / edit PHP files?

Please give me the basic info.

You can simply use notepad to edit any scripting language

The best way to do this is setup a test folder on your server where you can upload the files, view them, and change if needed. You can then upload them to the correct place when you are happy that they are working.

Actually, you should probally setup Mysql+php locally. There are a lot of packages that come with php, mysql, and apache. Try http://www.easyphp.org.

No problem. Another point is that if your files acidently have infinite loops and all, and just to save resources, you should test them locally. No need to get the server in a hissy fit because you were being a goose!
