Hi - registered last night, after spending months tearing my hair out implementing my website - loads of great info on here :-)

I am Julie, a full time shoe seller on ebay and my own website, formerly a Backoffice support/implementation person (specializing in call centre installs and support) very rusty IT skills now :-( lol

Complete thicko when it comes to websites that aren't written in Frontpage :-( (how sad is that! lol)

So please just yell at me if I ask any real stupid questions, or indeed post any really stupid replies!

Welcome to WMT

There's no stupid questions, there are however questions that could have been answered better by visiting a search engine

Call centre install & support, any IVR systems ? Press 1 for dept x, Press 2 for dept y

I'm currently writing integration software to manage transfer of data in / out of some call centre software (passing call data to 3rd party suppliers for engineer site vists etc...) Until recently I used to manage the database systems for some huge outsourced call centre systems.

Frontpage is not that bad these days, I often use it for a basic site.

The end result however is not so much on how well it's coded or what you wrote it in, content and usability is the key to success.

Us old bearded sandal wearing IT people may discuss the technical content, however the customer simply wants to see the goods and make an informed buying decision

A little voice experience, but preferred supplier has always been Rockwell and they send their own engineers - so really only basic support.....

Dealt mainly with the NT and Novell boxes.....
