Default Making something of a traffic exchange

Hi there,

I'm new here and my name is cyman. I own a traffic exchange program which recently started and now has just over 100 members. Initially, I saw the venture as a possible money-maker and now I wonder why I ever did - I'm just paying for a domain/webspace/hosting so that others can advertise their programs for free.

I even started up a referral contest and have one guy signing up again under himself! (It's obvious as the email addresses of the 2 users are soooo similar). So that means not only freeloaders, but cheating freeloaders, eh?

Is there any scope for me to turn this around and actually make something from this?

Hopefully yours,

cym.

Thanks for the encouragement, Wistow, but please tell me how you achieve a monthly income this way? ... BTW I thought I'd get well and trult slated for my original post for expecting too much or being too negative.

Randomman, the exchange is at http://www.hitfun.biz ... I'd welcome any advice/ideas on how to make this work better.

In my original thread, I mentioned someone signing themselves up again (under themselves) in an attempt to increase their downline in my referral contest. What would other forum members do in this case, please? It's a clear case of trying to cheat their way to a prize, but how does one subtly say that this signup won't count and that the attempt ought to be penalised?

www.hitsnapper.com

You need to come up with ideas that will make your hit exchange different from all the others out there, and you need to get as many members as possible.

Once you have alot of members you can promote your other websites and offers to them, and also sell pro accounts and hits/banner impressions.
