Depends on what you want ? What are you developing in ?

95% of the time I'll opt for linux hosting. (shared / vps / dedicated)

You know I intend more to Linux as well as it's cheaper and doesn't demands much experience to manage it.
I plan to use shared services and my business partner uses mmhosting and advises me to use them as well. But I hesitate as want to hear more offers.

It depends what you are trying to do.

Do you need asp or asp.net support?

What about MS SQL ?

if your business partner is reccomending a company, then go with them, can't beat a personal reccomendaton and I can't see your partner refering you somewhere that will cause problems, if they do, then it's time to change partner.

Of course you don't tell us what you want to do or what your requirement is so nobody will be able to help you
