| Super Moderator | As a customer, yearly is a bit risky with the smaller new companies, unless the hosting is cheap or you have a good track record, I'd go for monthly. As a business, I prefer yearly payments as it's less cost on accounting and PayPal / Banking transaction fees and I can pass on these savings to the customer.

| Web Slave Recent Blog: My Facebook Account Has Been Hacked | It depends what it is. A shared hosting plan might be easier to pay annually, whereas a dedicated server would be easier to pay on a monthly basis |

| Active Member | I think it's depends on the time you are using this or that company. If you use them for say half a year, than sign up for a year as you will be able to economize your some bucks. Let's take for example, XYZ, they offer to use their services two months free if you pay yearly for their services. Last edited by forbairt; 02-12-2008 at 23:37. Reason: updated the company name |

| Ban Sticks Set to Stun!! | I just updated a few company names for people as I feel it wasn't adding anything to the conversation. I like to pay in installments .. I've gone with a 6 months VPS with XYZ as it gives me the ability to go OH **** its costing me too much and I'm not getting anything back. First 6 months I did nothing with it ... now I'm doing a lot. Next time I go to register it'll be for a year or maybe 2 years (though thats a bit of a risk in terms of what happens with the company if it goes belly up) I like being able to upgrade bits as well if I need to
