MSN messager and hardware error.

Can someone help me here, when someone comes online or if someone sends me a message and the window is not ontop, it makes a **beep** noise, not in the speakers but the tower itself?

you can always inplug the speakers from your tower

oir you can try reinstalling msn...

it must be coming from your motherboard...try hitting setup and looking at alerts or notifications in the BIOS when you boot

thats the inbuilt speaker
i dont recomend unplugging it cause it will beep when there is an error

so if its beeping
it could be msn causing errors or if computer has been fixed oppen open or played around with the speaker could be plugged up wrong

LOL i used to haev a inbuilt speaker i got rid off it as there eynoying and also i used to have bad problem with msn messenger whenever i tarted a chat it would crashe

i had to format to sort that out

try changing msn to use sounds (if you have them disabled), or change to different sounds, I know the msn sounds are annoying but not as bad as the PCS

Yes, i did similar to that and it worked.
Not as bad as AIM sounds, its a kid laughing, it sounds . .. a little less pleasant though
