Default Knoppix linux question

Will knoppix linux work in network conditions that i am using a USB ADSL modem, i am asking because i have it here, and it has been here about a week and i have not used it?

From your post it sounded like you already have a copy if thats it then.
The easiest way to figure out is to pop it in and restart. It only takes a few minutes to boot and it dosn't touch your hardrives.

Ok lets see if I can remember this. ADSL is asymetric dsl with different upload and download speeds because its a phone line split for voice and data simeltaniously.

If I'm right a asdl line is always on althouh its like regular dsl in the way that it needs a modem it just acts like it has a dedicated line.

Now an asdl usb modem will need drivers so its anyones guess wether the drivers are supported. If you could reply with the model and brand we might be able to figure it out. This question could be answered alot easier from the great people at justlinux.com under the software forum.

Given that you can run Knoppix from the CD, why not boot it and see if it finds your ADSL hardware ? You'll know the answer in about the same time you'd have spent posting this question and reading the replies
