Well I use both IE and Firefox. Only reason I do so is so that I can view the webpages that I make to see if they're both working on both and not only on one. Plus whenever my Internet Explorer isn't working for some reason I just go over to Firefox and use that instead.

Plus theres a tweak for Firefox (which I forgot how to do) that speeds up your Internet Browsing by a lot. You can tell the difference when you do. so its very helpful too

Because Internet Explorer wants my computer to kill itself.

FireFox is the only real decent browser out there (Opera doesn't support a lot of stuff, and Maxthon is annoying imo).
    Speed. Quality. Affordability. Pick two.

Hey! You! Are you cool enough?

I have just swiched to firefox, it is faster then before (but i changed to piroty to realtime in the task manager). I am sick of how many times i have to install netscape. It is just not worth it anymore.

Wow. Not many very objective posts in this entire thread. I doubt anyone will read this because the thread is so long anyway but I'll try to respond to robertall.

Theres many reasons why people like firefox. I now use it as my primary browser.

    1. Some say that it takes longer than IE to startup. When you open IE it opens very quickly but the icons and buttons and the first page take quite a while to load so add that into the start time. When firefox pops up on the screen buttons and everything load instantly. They actually have the same load time.

    2. Tabbed browsing. I can't image living without it. Right now I have 2 tabs open. This thread and another thread from webmastertalk. It makes it really easy to click open a new tab for every thread thats been updated and you can just read one then click exit on the tab and go onto the next. Its also great if your typing a response and you need to google something you don't have to worry about going back after you found the info. Plus you can have your homepage be multiple tabs. I can set firefox to startup and instantly show all my favorite news sites in different tabs.

    3. Firefox has great extentions/plugins. I know IE has extentions called BrowserHelpObjects. This is where all the stupid toolbars come in that slow down your system. In firefox theres hundreds of extentions you can get that completely change your browsing experience. Like GreaseMonkey which allows you to change the way a page looks when your looking at it automaticly. I recently downloaded a script for greasemonkey that gets rid of all google ads.

    4. Bugs are fixed insanely quick. If Firefox has a bug its fixed in a matter of hours not weeks or months like IE. Plus the developers are avalible, you can suggest stuff and even modify it yourself.

Oh popup blocker is the best I can't believe I forgot about it. Just open up IE and you'll notice the difference in a matter of minutes!

I have to use both Firefox and IE simply cause Firefox wont open certain java links and isnt really "there" yet.... Their msg board is crammed with suggestions and hopefully they will get around to reading and acting on them..
To succeed they need to do a deal where Firefox becomes as standard as IE on pcs... cause atm they are relying on press and users...
