Thread: Critique Neeeded

Hi all,

I was recently looking for a new mobile phone and decided to check out some user reviews on the internet... only when I Googled "mobile phone reviews"... the offering was pretty poor! Of the sites that are available either the editors reviewed the phones themselves with their own biased opinions... or the user reviews sites were difficult to navigate and not very impressive on the eye.

With this, I decided to create my own site.... with very little knowledge of web design or creation, I chose Joomla as my CMS of choice... Three weeks later and the site is almost complete.

With over 1000 phones and a fairly intuitive interface for users to navigate, I think my website could be quite useful. There are still some issues I need to address with CSS and layout/content, but I think for a first time effort, all seems pretty good so far.

The only problem I have now is the reviews... it is a reviews website, currently with no reviews.
Any suggestions on how to get users on to my site to review them? I thought about contacting forum owners to send out Mass Mailings asking members to head over and spend 2 minutes writing a review... but am not sure how well this would be taken by the forum owners? I assume not very well!

Anyways... as a start... feel free to head on over to reviewaphone.co.uk and start reviewing.

Any suggestions, feel free to let me know... this is a site for Joe Public so all opinions count!
