Content Writers - What Do I Need to Know

Hi guys

I've got a new project kicking off soon and the client is looking for content writers for a series of blogs and forums. I need to know the following:

What does a content writer do
How can I ensure they are only using forums and blogs that are google indexed
How can I validate their work
What do I pay

I'm sure there's lots more I've forgotten so I am generally looking for advice on this as my client is willing to pay and although we have yet to finalise a budget I want to make sure this project is run properly.

Any advice gratefully received.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but if you've not got a clue about this and have to ask in a public forum, then you're not off to a very good start for your client.

Your answers...

A content writer writes content for a customer to their specification
Ask them for proof
In whatever way you have agreed the contract
As per the contract, rates will vary based on content, who owns the copyright, reuse rights and so on.

if they give examples of work ... try using a tool like Copyscape - Website Plagiarism Search - Web Site Content Copyright Protection to see if its a copy

First of all, give them a topic to write an article on it. Then decide the price, according to accuracy of article
