Microsoft name new O.S Vista

So here it is new OS has been named formerly longhorn http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/default.mspx

I grabbed a couple of domains for it

vistasupportforum.com

vistatips.net

Did anyone else get anything

I took a look around but most valuable ones were taken and im a bit short on the ??? atm.

You got some good ones, you should dev them.

Nice domains, read about this about 15 mins ago, longhorn was an awful name Vista sounds good, i wont be using it moving to linux asap

Yea most are taking seems there was a rush for them this morning wehen some rumours started so i just got what i could.

Vistaprint- they wont be too happy at this as there site will get pushed down the google (etc) rankings!

i see about a year ago they were making windows LH, theres an article on howstuffworks.com about ti somewhere

They have been making longhorn aka vista since around 2001 i think. If not before was meant to be released last year but got put back to add more features well thats there exuse.

XP was released in 2001 here is a bit of info i cant find one on when production actually started but according to thiis first beta was giving to attendees at microsoft 2003 so yea i would say it was in pipeline 2 years before.
