    There are many kinds of animation such as javascript-based animations, animated gifs, and plug-in animations.

    I would say that I do prefer creating animated gifs because it's the simplest among the three.

    Maybe the thread starter is referring to a computer animation like what we see on TV and in movies. I know MAYA is a good animation software where you can create your own virtual character and make a movie of your own with it.

    I agree, in creating gifs I only use online sites though. can you suggest a software that I can install in my pc to make gifs?

    I have the same opinion, I think he refers to 3d animation
    Maya is perfect, learned it a little bit, and 3ds max, from the same company is awesome as well
