Make sure that whoever does this focusses on the text & natural langauge used as there are far too many "cowboys" who will simply use the current set of tricks to get round the current google algorythms, however these can simply be negated overnight with an algorythm change and you'll need constant revisits for the site to keep on top of this.
Personally, I'd suggest investing the time in getting to grips with the techniques and then any site additions will simply fall into your current
SEO schemes rather than having to re-optimise the site each time.
