I've an unusual problem with my cable link.
I used to have an old PC running as a router, but had problems with it so replaced with a pair of back to back routers with a DMZ, however the problems continued
On further investigation, it would appear that the cable modem is alternating between requiring a straight RJ45 & a crossover
I was having problems, so put in a crossover and it worked, then I got problems again and this morning removed the crossover and the router immediately reconnected. It appears to alternate every few weeks.
Anyone else seen anything as strange ?
